IEEE IATMSI 2026 Doctoral Dissertation Award

This award is an exclusive opportunity for PhD students who have submitted their thesis within the past 18 months (after 15th Sep. 2024) or are nearing completion (will submit by 1st March 2027) from a recognized University ) or are nearing completion (will submit by 1st March 2027) to present their cutting-edge research, share insights, and engage with peers and experts in the field. This forum provides a platform to showcase your work, gain valuable feedback, and establish connections with fellow researchers and industry professionals.
We invite entries from eligible young researchers to participate in the PhD research forum and seize this chance to share their research endeavors with the community.
The award is presented at the IEEE IATMSI 2026 Conference, where all participants are also invited to give a short talk or Poster Presentation about their dissertation work.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Any PhD student who has submitted their thesis within the past 18 months (after 15th Sep. 2024) or are nearing completion (will submit by 1st March 2027) from a recognized University or Institute and researched topics pertinent to the conference is eligible to participate.
- Student must be the primary researcher and presenter.
- Thesis supervisor endorsement required.
- Must be available to present in-person at the conference venue
- Research area must be from the any track mentioned below (Research Domains):
- Track 1: Innovative Solutions for Healthcare
- Track 2: Power, Control, Energy and Intelligent Transportation Technologies
- Track 3: Artificial Intelligence (AI), IOT and Computer Vision Enabled Technologies
- Track 4: Green Electronics, VLSI, Communication and Sensor Based Technologies
- Track 5: IT enabled Management for Social Change

- Last date to submit your PhD abstract (Guidelines are mentioned below): 5th Feb 2026 (Firm deadline, no further extension)
- Acceptance Notification: 10th Feb 2026
- Registration for the IEEE Doctoral Dissertation Award: 20th Feb. 2026
- Date of Oral/Poster Presentation: 13th March 2026.
- Announcement of Award Winners: 14th March 2026 (In the Valedictory Ceremony of the Conference)
Note: The presentation for the Doctoral Dissertation Award will be conducted in person during IEEE IATMSI 2026 at ABV-IIITM Gwalior, India.
Each shortlisted participant will be required to deliver a 15-minute oral or poster presentation at the conference venue as part of the evaluation process.
Submission Guidelines:
- Extended abstract in PDF format only, and the required contents are:
- Title (limited to 20 words)
- Abstract clearly outlining the thesis intent
- At least 5 keywords
- At least 3 major research findings
- Brief explanation of research outcomes
- Research papers/tools published from the thesis
- Author qualifications and experience
- Times New Roman font with a minimum 10pt size
- Maximum three pages including tables, diagrams, and references.
- Proof of studentship: A copy of the Thesis submitted certificate / Provisional degree certificate/tentative date of submission signed by the supervisor is sufficient. (you can submit in any format)
- Consent letter from your thesis supervisor/Institute (can submit in any format)

Selection Procedure:
- There would be a two-tier selection process. The initial shortlisting would be done by the Selection Committee based on the merits of the submission. Incomplete submissions will not be considered for the selection process. The shortlisted nominees will be invited to make poster/oral presentation before the Selection Committee during the conference.
- The Selection Committee would then recommend the nominee for conferment of the Award.

Registration Link & Guidelines:
- Resource Sharing and Logistics Support Charges: Rs. 3500/- or USD 90.
- IEEE IATMSI 2026 Doctoral Dissertation Award registration can be done online, and payment in Indian Rupees (₹) & US Dollars ($) is only accepted.
- Registration will commence from 10th Feb 2026, and will be closed on 20th February 2026 by 5 pm as per the Indian Standard Time.
- For any registration category, no refunds will be made in any case.
- Registration fees include a registration kit, Poster/presentation slot, Refreshments (Morning and Evening) and 1 Lunch.
- Stay and Dinner are not included in the Registration Fees. Stay may be provided on a payment basis, subject to availability.
- An additional amount of Rs. 500 will be charged for an accompanying person for the food at the registration desk.
